chose Special Education as a profession because I grew up with one of my friends who was born with a disability and as we communicated with each other she would feel left out, then had the opportunity to be a volunteer in a camp and one of the girls had autism and my experience with her made me want to be a part of the development of the differently-abled.

: I chose Special needs as a profession because when I came across a child who are experiencing a learning disability, I felt helpless, I did not know the strategies to help such a student. I am eager to learn and modify my abilities towards all  students and every child who are growing and requires assistance.

I chose special education so I can gain the skills to identify and help special students, that way they won’t be left out of the lesson and deprived of any educational opportunities.

I chose Special Education because I want to help teach all students, not limit myself to just general education. I made this choice because of my cousins who struggle in school. They have learning disabilities and they just getting kept back but no one has the time to help them to move forward. Now they are becoming de-motivated and not interested in school at all or caring.

I chose special education because I had been babysitting children on the spectrum with my aunt on weekends and had been happy doing so, and I realized it had been three years and I would always get excited to go back, and I had always wanted to teach since I was four years old, so I pursued my dreams by studying special education at university, and I have never lost my passion for this topic and highly doubt I will.
