Validity ensures what is supposed to be measured is significantly measured appropriately. Validity embodies sub-categories as well such as

Criterion –Related validity- this is the comparison of scores with other criteria known as indicators of the same skill.

Concurrent Validity- this is where two tests are given within a brief time if the scores are similar, they assess the same traits.

Predictive validity- how well an instrument can predict performance.

For us future teachers to construct and establish validity testing can follow specific criteria such as developmental changes, correlation with other tests, factor analysis, internal consistency, convergent and discriminate validation, and experimental interventions. It is necessary to consider the reliability of an assessment but also the validity. The question that we should ask:

By firstly assessing ourselves with these questions above we will now fully be capable of formulating an assessment through the proper understanding of its reliability and validity to the subject and the individuals of the classroom.
